How The Super Bowl Converted Me To Islam

Super Bowl XXXIXI’ve posted this on countless websites, but i might as well do it again because it’s so weird yet hilarious:
I was Deist (confirmed God but didn’t know what religion) for a while. So I started investigating into different religions, particularly Christianity and Islam.

The Christian message was appealing, but I really need faith AND logic if I am going to convert. The problem with Christianity for me is that it didn’t make sense for God to be a strict monotheist and then go trinitarian. Not to mention the books were hard to trust.

So I read the Quran, finding the beautiful poetry, amazing logic, and that science stuff many Muslims push into your brain as if it is the only reason to convert. But I also needed a faith booster.

So here is how I got mine.

National Football League, Super Bowl.

Eagles v Patriots.

During this time period I was studying Islam and stumbled upon a hadith about dreams and foreseeing the future. Well, the night before the Super Bowl, I had a dream. I was watching the super bowl, and I saw the scoreboard: 24 to 21, the Patriot are about to win and the Eagles go on a final drive.

Well, guess what happens the next day. I tell my friends my prediction of the final score based on this dream. Score
ends up being 24-21 and that same drive happens with McNabb looking the same way i saw him in my dream.

Dude, I saw the future.

The hadith I read about dreams said that dreams come from either Satan or Allah. If they came from Allah, some can predict the future or show the truth.

Well, when i saw the future, i was like WOW, Allah must be real and he must be telling me something.

Thats what hooked me to Islam.

Weirdest convert story in the world.
