Israel Threatens Holocaust Upon Palestine

“A senior Israeli defence official has said that Palestinians firing rockets from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip would bring upon themselves what he termed a “shoah”, the Hebrew word for holocaust or disaster.”

Why this isn’t on the front page of any major American news source, I don’t know.

Sorry for all the recent political news. I’m volunteering in the Obama campaign so its all I think about.

Reasons For America To Support Israel?

I like checking both sides of a story, but as I was watching the Ohio debate between Clinton and Obama about Israel, it hit me: why should America support Israel?

So I went on a few Google and Wikipedia searches and found the following reason, compiled with sources.

  1. Israel has the right to the land because of all of the archaeological evidence.
  2. Israel’s right to the land is the historic right.
  3. Land belongs to Israel is the an agricultural wonder of the Middle East.
  4. The fourth reason I believe Israel has the right to the land is on the grounds of humanitarian concern.
  5. Israel ought to have the land is that she is a strategic ally of the United States.
  6. Israel is a roadblock to terrorism.
  7. Israel is a Western society.
  8. Israel is a path to liberal democracy in the Middle East.
  9. God said so.

(Source 1) (Source 2)

Here are my answers to them.

  1. If we are to follow that standard, then American should leave and hand back the land to Native Americans. But obviously that won’t happen, because Archaeological evidence doesn’t matter in human history. And also, that doesn’t explain why AMERICA should support them.
  2. Again, if America wants to talk about historical right, then Native Americans should take the land back. And again, what does the historical right of another country have to do with America?
  3. What does that have to do with America or anybody? This argument has to do with the land, not the people running the land. And again, what does this have to do with America? If we really cared about agriculture, we would do something about the cultivation land being lost in sub-Saharan Africa.
  4. Humanitarian concerns??? What about Darfur? What about Eastern Europe? What about the Palestinians who are being starved to death because of an isolated economy as a result of Israel? If America cares about humanitarian concerns, then they should look at people that actually need help. Israel has NUCLEAR bombs. No one would mess with them. And even if they did, most Israelis have the means of leaving the country, so there is no humanitarian crisis.
  5. Strategic Ally? I can see that. Israel is a base so that America can look after it’s economic interests of oil. Although I disagree with the reasoning because our support brings hostility and 9/11 to America, I can see where people get this from.
  6. Roadblock to terror? Israel may help prevent attacks, but the REASON America has attacks at all is because of of Israel. Attackers always cite Israel as a main reason to attack America. Israel helps America get out of the ditch of Al-Qaeda attack, but the reason America is in the ditch in the first place is Israel. (props to Obama for the analogy when referring to the Iraq War)
  7. Israel a path to liberal democracy? If a liberal democracy is a country that allows everyone to vote and separate church and state, then Israel doesn’t even fit the definition because people outside the [[Green Line]] of Israel are considered second class citizens. If America cares about liberal democracy, why support Musharraf and Saudi Arabia? Not to mention that if you oppose Israel you are considered Anti-Semitic.
  8. Oops. Can’t beat this one. God did ’say’ in the old Testament that Jews should run Israel. I guess we as a liberal democracy that separates church and state should listen to that and support Israel.

Greed and God. Great Mix. Isn’t that the reason we had slavery?

I really think that 100-200 years from now we will look at our support of Israel as morally degrading as slavery.

[[Sada Cumber]], who in America has done everything and some more, has been appointed by Bush as America’s representative in the [[Organization of the Islamic Conference]], which represents 57 Muslim countries. Now, I have nothing against Ismailis, but my understanding is that outside of the Western world Ismailis are usually not liked and in many places not considered Muslim. But then again I don’t think sectarian things come up in the Islamic Conference or nothing would get done. What will hurt Cumber is that Bush appointed him. Anything related to Bush will hurt.

At least he’s an Austin native.

21st Century Crusaders

Watch this report about the new movie “Jesus Camp” which shows children in America being raised to be warriors of Jesus to take over the government.

It shows how Christians have taken over the American Government to promote the Bible and Christianity. It makes argument that this is a war between Christianity and Islam a prominent argument.

Warriors For Jesus: Jesus Camp film causes controversy (BBC REPORT)

Kids Asking Jesus To Praise Bush

Kids Fighting Against Abortion

If you want to watch the entire movie, search for it online. I saw it, and it shocked me into oblivion.

They criticize Islam for brainwashing. Hypocrites.

WikipediaSome Muslims really need to learn tactics. Did Muslims really think that a petition would make Wikipedia remove images? PETITIONS AGAINST FREE SPEECH WILL ALWAYS LOSE ON THE INTERNET.

If a Muslim really wanted to remove the images, then it could have been done in an easy way.

For example, if saw the images before this was a huge controversy, instead of making a huge deal about it, I would have just looked for a better and more historically accurate picture during that time period that doesn’t show Muhamamd’s face and replace it with that. If someone argued that the other picture should have stayed, I could argue that my picture is more historically accurate or more prominent. I would never bring up Muslim sentiment in my argument, because in a battle about free speech in Wikipedia I WILL lose and that would just make some free speech lunatic keep those pictures up at all costs. By bringing up actual arguments about historicalness, my picture could have easily prevailed.

But by blowing this up into a huge worldwide controversy, no matter what those pictures will not be removed because that will be seen as an attack on free speech and users on Wikipedia won’t have that.

Muslims need to stop crying and start acting. Being an silent assassin is the best way to solve problems in a battle about sentiment and free speech.
